Founding Focus is our new series focusing back to the foundations and roots of Dubstep. The first track we will be looking at is the popular “Night” by one of the founding fathers of Dubstep, Benga and Coki from DMZ.
Night has a haunting repetition with a grinding bass-line that still has devastating impact on the dancefloor around the world today.
Night enjoyed alot of success both in the underground and in the commercial scene. According to the well respected online music magazine Resident Advisor, Benga’s second LP, Diary of an Afro Warrior, was tipped to be one of the most anticipated LPs following the release of this track.
Truly a Dubstep Classic if there ever was such a thing. Dust off this gem, your ears will be ringing in delight.
